Our family had a lovely week staying at the Barn; the accommodation is perfect and as described; close to amenities, and the perfect base for touring North Yorkshire. The welcome pack was very much appreciated!! Everything was perfect… the private garden, spacious accommodation, luxury bedding and more. Would highly recommend for anyone seeking a fabulous base to stay in the area. Would love to return!
We had a really great week in The Barn (two couples) and it was the perfect space. The June weather was a heady 25/26 degrees most days and we enjoyed sitting in the pretty, private courtyard garden for breakfasts and early evening drinks.
The Barn has been imaginatively converted and the tall bi-fold doors from the sitting room/kitchen frame the garden letting in lots of light. It’s well equipped and the beds are incredibly comfortable! Lots of OS maps and guide books to choose from with suggestions for walks and places of interest.

David & Philip are fantastic hosts. We loved our stay at the barn. The welcome tray was a lovely touch. Underfloor heating was fabulous. Lovely fire in the sitting room made it cosy on the cold nights. Comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms, lovely and clean.

Fabulous place – the house is simply lovely – cozy and well equipped with a fantastic gated garden. Very spacious with really comfortable and elegant furniture! Two en suite bedrooms was a luxury too!
Communication with the owners was easy and they went out of their way to make sure we had all we needed. If you book this you will not be disappointed

A fabulous home from home cottage. 2 comfy bedrooms both with en-suites. We stayed here with our 2 dogs and had a lovely break. Everything had been thought of, we wanted for nothing. A lovely welcome pack with fresh bread, bottle of red wine, tea, cookies. A great location, we visited Pickering castle, Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, Castle Howard, Sandsend, Levisham -a great circular walk across the moors. If we are in the area again we would definitely like to stay again.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was extremely comfortable with everything we needed and more for our stay. Lovely and warm, comfy beds. We cooked in every evening rather than go out as it was so comfortable. Loved the snowdrop filled garden. Enjoyed a trip to Whitby, to York and a day shopping around the local market towns. Also enjoyed a walk and a trail run at nearby Dalby Forest. Very relaxing.
